The first event in the 12th Annual Flint Hills Resources Town Race Series, the Fairbanks Youth Sports Season Opener, will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 on the Jim Whisenhant Ski Trails at Birch Hill Recreation Area in Fairbanks.  Start time is 11:00 AM.

All events will be mass-start free technique.  Grades K-1-2 go 0.5km, Grades 3-4 go 1.0km, Grades 5-6 go 1.5km, Grades 7-8 go 2.0km, HS and Adult Women go 5km, and HS and Adult Men go 7.5km, in that order.  The grade K-1-2 skiers start at 11:00AM.
